This section is about the hardware projects that I’m currently working on.

As I’m a geek it’s almost a moral imperative to play around with bits of technology (usually old obsolete bits of technology) to make them do something useful for me. This section is where I’ll document hardware projects that I’m working on.

I’ll try to provide enough detail for you to follow along. I’m not a hardware expert by any means – most of the hardware projects that I tinker with require varying degrees of research and often improvisation. The way I figure it, if I document the results of that research here, it might help someone that wants to do the same.

Areas of interest

My interest in hardware is largely based upon need. I’m not a hardware geek, I’m a software engineer so I’ll only usually engage in a hardware project if it fulfils a perceived need in my life (or at least an unsatisfied sense of curiosity).

Who knows what my grasshopper mind will be curious about from week to week? ;)
