As some of you may have noticed, the site has been down for a few days.

Things should all be back up and working now.

I’ll be completely honest – as this was just my personal site I wasn’t overly worried about getting it back up in a hurry. I’ve been busy with client sites for people that matter. :)

I’ve finally completed and tested my new site theme and, if you’re looking at this post the chances are you’re also looking at the new theme too. :)

I’ve already discovered a couple of minor bugs but I’ll fix those tomorrow.

It’s nice to finally have my site looking the way I want it to.

By the way… just in case you’re looking at this in IE6 and it doesn’t look right: I’m afraid that I don’t really care. I chose to stop supporting IE6 a while ago (see this post). ;)

Since I moved my site over to WordPress I’ve been too busy (or lazy) to actually create a theme for the site.

Instead I’ve been using any number of free themes that are available for Wordpress, none of which have perfectly suited my personal taste or what I want my site to look like. That’s not to say they’ve not been nice looking themes – but they were never designed specifically for me and what I want.

In the end, there’s no substitute for creating your own theme and I finally got around to doing that today. The framework and style is more or less complete, I just need to fit it into the wordpress theme structure requirements. Hopefully that should be all done in the next day or two and replacing this… bright little number.

Yay! No more random theme changes! :-D
